Our story
The Behaviour Change Compass (TBCC) was born from one simple truth: real behaviour change doesn’t happen only in a clinic — it happens in everyday life.
Tanya Curtis is a behaviour change expert who has worked as a behaviour specialist since 2002. Over the years, Tanya has supported children, teenagers, and adults across a wide range of needs and settings. Again and again, she saw the same pattern: people could understand strategies during sessions, but the hardest part was applying them consistently in the natural environments where life actually happens (home, school, work, and the community).
Why we create behaviour change resources
The Behaviour Change Compass creates practical products that support navigating behaviour change — not just learning about it.
Our resources are designed to bridge the gap between “knowing” and “doing” by helping individuals and their support teams:
- Remember key strategies in the moment
- Stay consistent across different settings and people
- Reduce overwhelm by making steps clear and visible
- Build confidence through simple, repeatable prompts
The heart of The Behaviour Change Compass
To support practical application in natural settings, many people benefit from visual prompts — tools that make the next best step easier to see, choose, and repeat. That need is what sparked the creation of The Behaviour Change Compass products.
The Behaviour Change Compass exists to make behaviour change more accessible, more consistent, and more achievable — one clear prompt at a time.
